Hosted Platform
The unicomconnect™ hosted platform, located in a major metropolitan network access center, or “telecom hotel”, with Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) and Cellular network connectivity, provides redundant power and cooling, supports redundant switching and routing, load balancing and firewalls, web and application servers, SAN switching and storage, monitoring and management and security servers with backup. The application is virtualized. The platform is Open Architecture based and operates under the Linux Operating System with full standards compliancy.
IP Gateways
IP gateways at agencies’ locations are connected via the internet through encrypted IP-VPNs (or private network) to the hosted platform. Gateways manage radio channel frequencies and can be stacked. Each radio frequency supports unlimited attached radios. A ruggedized gateway can also be installed in mobile communications management vehicles for portable communications interoperability.
Device Interoperability
Any radio device, regardless of make, model, manufacturer or frequency (including UHF/VHF/P25/Tetra/700-800-900MHz), without any upgrade required, is fully interoperable, between any connected voice (analog/digital), cellular (GSM/CDMA/TDMA/iDEN), satellite, data (VoIP/SIP/PC /Soft phone) or other radio frequency devices.
